Yesterday night was a very special night for our fellow indian friends here as they had held their Ponggal Festival succesfully...although the event was not perfect,but who cares??

The most important thing is that although their population here is extremely small,they managed to hold a big event anyway...

And sadly...They were not getting much supports from the college authorities.They even had to change their theme from PESTA PONGGAL into PESTA KEBUDAYAAN INDIA due to some sensitive issue...

By the way,our indian friends had also raised RM1000 for an orphanage!Though it is not a big amount of money,but again...who cares??It's the heart who matters...The scene when the representatives from the orphanage receive the cheque from the project manager,the broad smile that shown on his wrinkled face,and the clappings of the orphans...All these are really heart-warming,to be honest,it almost made me cry...

Ooohya~there is one thing that is worth mention here,that is...although we are not indians...but we lend them a helping hand on preparing and holding the event anyway.Despite of the differences of skin colours,cultures and religion...We help each other whenever help is needed..it was really touching to see many chinese friends to volunteer themselves to help our indian friends as they are really busy performing on stage,talking as an emcee,etc etc...

They did not even voice out their needs of help,those chinese friends who were supposed to enjoy the show were willing to leave their seats and help doing "labour work" such as distributing foods,bringing the guests to their seats or simply say "WELCOME!!" when somebody new arrive...again...GOSH~it almost made me cry...
